| After a decisive meeting with Lila de Nobili in 1964, Danièle Boutard and Edwige Chaillet took over the Maison Karinska to set up their own company in 1971.
As well as working on the design and fabrication of clothing, they also set up a costume hire studio in one of the huge warehouses in the Parisian suburbs.
